The KNUST E-Learning Centre has taken delivery of two new drones from the Agri-Impact team to strengthen its drone training capacity under the HAPPY Programme.
The equipment was handed over by Prof. Nana Ewusi Mensah, project lead for the E-Agripreneur initiative.
The addition brings the total number of drones at the Dan F. Acquaye Drone Innovation and Simulation Unit to 13, moving the Centre closer to the full allocation expected under the project.
The handover follows earlier communication between Agri-Impact and the Centre regarding the completion of the current batch of drones.
The Dan F. Acquaye Unit trains students, young professionals and agripreneurs in drone operation, mapping and agricultural applications as part of a broader effort to introduce digital tools into farming and agribusiness.
The newly delivered drones will support training, simulation, demonstrations and practical field sessions.
The E-Learning Centre continues to collaborate with Agri-Impact Limited and other partners under the HAPPY Programme to prepare learners for technology-based work in agriculture.
The Centre plans to integrate the new equipment into upcoming training sessions and expand access as more drones arrive.
